John Lithium Easily one of the darker and more cryptic releases by The Legendary Pink Dots, at least as far as this decade is concerned. So good. Favorite track: Room For Two.

Dominic Audy As with CP16&18, LPD proves here that time has not eroded their creativity nor their potential to explore new directions or revisit old ones in new ways. In turns reminiscent of the 80s (Virgin Queen only misses a Patrick Q. violin track, Olympus 2000 brings back the voice of "Sponsor"/Divine Resignation) or the more electro-psychedelic moments of the 90s, very textural, grinding, musically and thematically immersive, this daring album could turn out to be their Shadow Weaver 1&2 of this decade. Favorite track: The Elevator.

I love having this in CDR format because: a) it is Edward; b) I have The Quarantine Tapes of which this is the first “volume” and, like it or not, cassette tapes are cool but they are not ultra-durable; c) the music is fabulous (OK, this should probably be the first reason, but since I already have the cassette, it must languish at “c”); and d) hopefully this means the remaining three volumes of The Quarantine Tapes will be released as lovingly made CDRs.
