RTW This special little EP stands outside Ka-Spel's regular work as a thoughtful and intimate rumination for veterans on Veterans Day (including his own father). The spareness of the songs hearkens back to his earliest material, and some of that is resurrected here, such as a new take on "Poppy Day." But the standout by far is the spoken word piece "Friendly Fire," which is at times creepy, sad, and deeply moving. Favorite track: Friendly Fire 11.11.11.11.
