All of these early cassettes are more coherent in this form than they were compiled and expanded on CD 10-15 years ago. This one has a very soft, sophisticated sound to it unlike anything else in the Dots' oeuvre, and could be the soundtrack to an elaborate avant garde ice skating performance called "The Flesh Parade." It sounds a bit like tracks that weren't deemed commercial enough for Curse. (Also, this new cover painting is astonishing.)
