thenewspaper Starkly cutty! I love different mixes, sure I have the 5 LP early days set, ancient daze, Under Trip Moons, soma fountains, you name it. The fact is that everyone has their own fingerprint, and those hands gripped some random European small-run megamix of Dotzsong. I hope the band will eventually remaster and extol even the least of its brethren--I know I want Under Triple Moons on LP, and the 5LP on digital format... Favorite track: Closet Kings (First Version).

mattyg107 I've been iffy about this one for a while mainly due to so much repetition with CP1&2, but reading some liner notes goes a long way and you realize why things turned out the way they did... This remaster makes it sound as good as they could but the 2007 Vinyl remaster still wins for sound quality even if this is "louder". The CP1&2 songs on there are also much better than the 2013 remaster

RTW Kleine Krieg seems to have been downplayed over the years but I really think it's the LPDs first magnum opus and a lot of fun to listen to. It very much demonstrates how they were learning to edit their own work and feels more like an album than the similar early Chemical Playschool tapes. It has the most definitive versions of early classics like "Black Highway" and "Defeated." Favorite track: Defeated / Deflated Black Highway.

I love having this in CDR format because: a) it is Edward; b) I have The Quarantine Tapes of which this is the first “volume” and, like it or not, cassette tapes are cool but they are not ultra-durable; c) the music is fabulous (OK, this should probably be the first reason, but since I already have the cassette, it must languish at “c”); and d) hopefully this means the remaining three volumes of The Quarantine Tapes will be released as lovingly made CDRs.
