hjoe834 Hearing 'Zero Zero', 'Stitching time' or 'We bring the day' throws me back two or three? centuries where the band played a similar set in a tiny club in Frankfurt.... This is a fair recording, nicely played, lots of details/variants to the album version without getting too psyched out (not that *I* mind that ;-)
Just compare it to the 'live at fillmore' where they're playing (over) the edge which is great but not for everyone. try out for yourself! (and get both?) Favorite track: We Bring The Day.

thenewspaper A most welcome virtual concert. The bass on "Maniac" can only be called Uberklom Funkzeit. If I had been at this show, Tower 1 would have sent me into a breakdance of pessimist euphoria.
Sound quality is flat, but guitar solos break through like a screaming face underwater. Good for family time. Favorite track: Encore Une Fois / Maniac.

Marcos Feitosa This is quite an accessible concert with a great selection of their songs and an impeccable performance! It's such a pity it wasn't recorded with higher sound quality. It would have made a wonderful release. Considering it's an audience recording, though, it actually sounds quite good. If you are new to this band, this is not a bad introduction at all.

Normally we try to avoid audience recordings as, all too often, those in front of the stage can come across as being louder than the band ON the stage. Back in 1993, at the rather beautiful old Trocadero Theatre, the audience did their best to triumph in the loudness battle so this release is far from being sonically perfect. However, there's a quality to the playing and a certain clarity that earns it a place on this page. It's a transitional set of songs too, featuring a few rarities. Just turn it up and step right inside, but PLEASE ...do be quiet!

I love having this in CDR format because: a) it is Edward; b) I have The Quarantine Tapes of which this is the first “volume” and, like it or not, cassette tapes are cool but they are not ultra-durable; c) the music is fabulous (OK, this should probably be the first reason, but since I already have the cassette, it must languish at “c”); and d) hopefully this means the remaining three volumes of The Quarantine Tapes will be released as lovingly made CDRs.
