hjoe834 An instant (re-) buy to have it around me on my mobile and due to the extra tracks.. Although underrated at first, it has lot of strong songs and a variety in styles. From the energetic Torch Song and Cubic Caesar to softer (yet hypnotic) and even melancholic tunes (Rainbows Too?, Faded Photograph respectively) and typical LPD weirdness stuff, it is good from start-end. Favorite track: Torchsong.

thenewspaper Feed me weird dotfood! Chime after dinglybell chime. This entry is like the "From Here..." of the new century, with some poppy songs spread over a kind of non-threatening synth melange. Yet sounds quite honestly like what the band wanted to do to shake it up at that point. The banjo frolic "Mailman" further upheld LPDs ritual of a short, silly, weird song. Spawned the hit "Rainbows Too? also nonthreatening, but has become an exciting standard for the band, maybe every tour. Favorite track: A Cubic Collage.

about

2008. A year in the making ,"Plutonium Blonde" was especially ambitious.Songs would be written, recorded, road-tested, then re-recorded.
Two songs failed to make the deadline ("Uncomplicated" and "Bad Mood") and were completed a year after the album's release.
Still it felt like a landmark ,but it was also the album which finished an era for The Dots as Martijn and Niels left The Dots before the band entered the studio again.
