There's no "misses" on the entire album. Buy it. You can thank me later. Favorite track: Russian Roulette.

RTW I see this one as the turning point that took the Dots out of their 2000s slump and into a new age. The loss of Niels and Martijn didn't help things, but without them Edward and Phil were forced to try something different... added a new guitarist and immersed themselves fully into electronic prog. It's great, with the sequence from "Radiation Day" to "No Star Too Far" really being the most kinetic. The reappearance of "Hauptbahnhof" is an added bonus. Favorite track: No Star Too Far.

2010.A new chapter for the Pink Dots as they became a trio onstage with Erik Drost returning to the fold with his unique ,edgy and frequently devastating guitar style.At the end of 2009, Niels and Martijn had decided to move on and pursue their own personal projects and in reality the new path chosen seemed somehow inevitable.Call it unfinished business with Erik -the voyage remains fascinating.
"Seconds Late"was recorded in the space of 4 intense weeks.It remains an album that the band is fiercely proud of.

I love having this in CDR format because: a) it is Edward; b) I have The Quarantine Tapes of which this is the first “volume” and, like it or not, cassette tapes are cool but they are not ultra-durable; c) the music is fabulous (OK, this should probably be the first reason, but since I already have the cassette, it must languish at “c”); and d) hopefully this means the remaining three volumes of The Quarantine Tapes will be released as lovingly made CDRs.
