RTW Just like everybody else, I'm a sucker for "I Love You in Your Tragic Beauty." This song is the perfect gateway drug into the land of the Dots, an acoustic folk ballad that suddenly goes all kaleidoscopic and mesmerizing. But "Hellsville" is a manic landmark that became a live staple. On the whole, CVA is quite adventurous in terms of pop music, if a little overrated. It's easily the most goth they would ever be: a psychedelic fantasy renaissance album. I've bought this one at least 4 times now. Favorite track: Hellsville.

Gregg Russell So many good tracks on this album! Tragic Beauty and Hellsville! One of the Dots' classics from the 80's. Also serves as a great introduction to the Dots' vast catalog. I have the limited velvet CD edition as well as an original vinyl pressing from Play it Again Sam.

All the songs are great but "Just a Lifetime" has to be my favorite. An abstract telling of an apocalypse.

Take it all in when Edward sings about dragons walking the earth again. Simply marvelous. Favorite track: Just a Lifetime.
